It’s funny how nothing’s changed. I’m home, and everything is just as I’d remembered. I watched TV with my family—I can’t believe how unethical that Moment of Truth show is!—then I went to a friend’s to play Super Smash Brawl. Not really my kind of game, honestly, but I got to be Kirby, who is without a doubt the greatest video game character ever.

I woke up this morning to a text from a friend: “How’d you end up doing on econ?”

I immediately busted open my MacBook and clicked the “View Grades” link on OSU’s site. I couldn’t believe it: I failed the final and I got an A- in econ 501. An A-! So, I’m excited, mostly because I finally feel vindicated in my accusations that my professor was God awful; he had to curve that class that much. It’s insane.

I’m looking forward to next quarter. I’m taking stat 133 (generic stats class for business majors), econ 505 (experimental economics—I had heard it was fun), econ 502.02 (intermediate macroeconomics), astron 294 (life on other planets), and, the course I will likely drop, athrop 200 (I don’t even know what it’s about). I’m most looking forward to econ 505 and looking least forward to econ 502.02, which, by the way, is the counterpart to the course I failed the final in this quarter. Apparently, I have a professor of equivalent caliber, too. Great.
