I climbed a mountain, I turned around.
I’m sitting in econ 502.02 right now. It’s the second class and I’m already not paying attention. People all around me are taking notes; I think I’m the only one not doing much of anything. I’m just not convinced that I need to take notes to do well in this class. If it’s anything like econ 501.02, then I’ll be fine even if I blog throughout class.
I love seeing campus tours. It’s so weird to be on the outside looking in; I’m still not used to it. Thinking back on my campus tour, I didn’t learn much. I think it’d be so much better just to tag along with a friend who already attends OSU. You’d get a much better idea of what college is like. Sleep in the dorms, bum a few meal swipes off someone to try out the food, explore the RPAC on your own terms, go into a random class and experience what it’s like. Oh, and you absolutely must play Frisbee in the Oval—it’s an essential college cliché.
The weather was great yesterday. I was wearing shorts and flip-flops, and I even went to running club. I’m way out of shape, but I’m so glad I actually did something healthy. I’d definitely recommend running club to any lapsed track or cross country runners, like myself. We meet a few days a week—usually around ten to twenty of us—and we break into two or three pace groups and run various routes around campus. It’s great to run with a group and to meet new people.
I’m going to get back to class now…I think I should at least be listening.
