To weather it all, to come out on the other side.
It’s so easy to get distracted in college. Take last night for example: my friend and I were supposed to start studying for our anthro test at 8:30 p.m. We didn’t actually get anything done and I didn’t leave until 4:30 a.m. Gilmore Girls is partly to blame—I got all my friends hopelessly addicted—but I think it’s mostly our tendency to not study. Mostly.
The weather’s been unbelievable—in a good, great, fantastic way. Sunny, 70+ degrees, slightly breezy—this is what spring should feel like. I went running yesterday with running club along the north trail, which follows the Olentangy River. I think I even got a bit sunburnt! Which I guess isn’t surprising given my pale skin, but still, it shows how summery the weather is—and I’d take sunburn over frostbite any day.
The Oval has been so crowded lately—I’ve never seen it like this. So many groups of people playing Frisbee—how clichéd—so many people just lying out in the sun or talking with friends. On Monday night my friend brought out her blanket and we sprawled out on the south oval at dusk and just absorbed each other’s awesomeness. Mean Girls reference? Oh yes.
