Debunking the Myth: Studying in College
To study or not to study, that is the question---and it IS multiple choice.
Realistically, sometimes it's really hard to study--and this is coming from the me, the girl who was named the "study bug" of my hall floor. You've got clubs, sports, friends, FOOD, etc., etc.---it seems like you can barely make the time.
But studying successfully can happen (sigh of relief). Me, personally, it's a habit that I have to improve on a daily basis. Since I'm involved in some seriously time consuming stuff--just PRIORITIZING my time makes a difference. And I can't work in study groups (I'm the kid who can wander from quantum physics to Madonna's current public transformation within a minute, trust me).
What helps me to study is to remind myself of why I am here at the lovely Ohio State University in the first place--to get an education. Wanting to be successful makes me want to pick up that book, even though it feels like it weighs 200 tons. At times it's a sacrifice, but being empowered by knowledge makes the investment worth it.
