What starts with J and ends with OB? That's right, JOB!!! (Please excuse my lame attempt of trying to be clever...). A few days ago, I got a call from Taco Bell, the creator of the fourth meal itself, wanting to hire ME! The week before I was a bit dismayed because I received a call from Wendy's offering me a job---for next summer. Although I was mildly consoled by the fact they would hire me, it was still a rejection nonetheless and I was ready to stuff my jobless mouth with as much ice cream as I could.

That's why I was surprised to get a call from Taco Bell asking me to be on their staff. I was shocked! Thursday I had my orientation, where we spent four hours looking at videos with perky and possibly real Taco Bell employees, filled out paper work, toured the premises, and got our, um, purple and black hued garb. It seemed that a lot of information was being thrown at me, but I took it with stride and even enjoyed learning the cool little facts about Taco Bell (did you know that Taco Bell was the first to offer free refills? Niiiiiiiiiiice)The manager seemed nice, and I hope that my co workers are just as amiable. We'll see--I start my first shift today. I'll let you know about this Mexican-inspired cuisine adventure later.

The other great thing about my week was that my boyfriend came to visit me this week! In fact he came the day of my orientation! Honestly, it was almost strange seeing him for the first time in weeks! We did a lot fun stuff while he was here. We saw Transformers with one of my best friends, went out to restaurants, and went to the mall. We even had a midnight excursion to Meijer's grocery store and made Jello at four in the morning.

This is probably the best week I had all month!
