Welcome Week 2007
One of the things that I love so much about OSU is how much students can really get involved on campus---legally. With literally hundreds of organizations to pick from, it's nearly impossible to feel left out. That's why Welcome week is such a fun week, especially for me. Besides the free food, t-shirts, and other random treasures (bottle cap opener, anyone?), it’s a great way to get pumped up for getting involved.
Getting involved is oh so important, folks.
I'll save you guys from my speech about how doing so enhances your resume, creates opportunities to make amazing friends, and connects you strongly to your campus. Maybe next time.
But will tell you this: WELCOME WEEK HAS BEEN SO FUN! It started off with the actual move-in day last Sunday, which felt like a whole week in itself (so exhausting). My favorite event so far has been the Involvement Fair. Imagine a sea of students bustling about hundreds of tables boasting their clubs, music blaring, bags stuffed with free stuff and flyers...It's a good time (and did I mention that I got a free Taco Bell Taco for a Year coupon? Wipe me down). It's a good time.
I'm looking for to the concert this Sunday, for sure though. T-Pain, Kelly Rowland, and Mario are going to be performing at the South Oval, starting at 4 PM. It should be a good time (time to get out those dancing shoes!)
