I Love Bowties!
Today was a typical Sunday. I rolled out bed shamefully at 12:00 pm after staying up unnecessarily the night before (like any other college student). After hitting the showers and getting dressed there was one more thing I had to accomplish before I started my long agenda: FOOD.
Now, I won't go as far as to say that I was starving--it's almost impossible when any given day there is free food to be had, food swipes to use, and fridges to raid. Not in the mood for another bowl of Ramen noodles, I decided that I would go to Kennedy Commons and take advantage of their Brunch inspired cuisine.
Plus my boyfriend works there and I wanted to embarrass him.
I wasn't too sad that I had to sit alone when I carried my tray to semi-clean table (my pancakes were a good distraction). But as I started to fork my eggs, I noticed at the corner of my eye Mr. Gee--bowtie and all. I thought this was strange. I figured that with Welcome Week long over that the president of the Ohio State University would be elsewhere. Not with us.
Yet there he was, making conversations with different tables, laughing, patting students on the back. I didn't know what kind of man this Mr. Gee was before, being that this is the first time he has served as President of OSU since I've been here. However, after observing him, one thing that I can say now is that he is very pleasant indeed. To be spending a few moments with us when he has other things that he could be doing shows that he is president that I can easily admire.
