OSU: A Cultural Haven For All (Part Deux)
Well you guys, I went to the Debate on the Pornography four days ago and it was quite interesting. I honestly didn't know what to expect from the event, because pornography is such a taboo topic to discuss. In fact, I felt a little nervous for Ron Jeremy and Craig Gross, who were the debaters. But despite my own opinions, I tried to listen to both arguments with the same attitude, which I think is one of the most reoccurring experiences of campus. With being a student at the largest university in the country, often times I find myself confronted with many diverse perspectives on various topics. I have found that by being exposed to these viewpoints although I may not always agree with them, broadens my world and appreciate my own opinions even more. :D.
On a less serious note, last night my boyfriend, his friend, and myself went to the Schottenstein Center, one of the best venues for entertainment in Columbus, to see Dane Cook live---for FREE (I know)! OUAB, which is a fabulous organization that puts on many events for OSU students ranging from lectures to concerts, procured 2,500 free tickets for us lovely Buckeyes. I didn't have time to wait in line the day they were released, but surprisingly when we went to the Shuenion, we got our tickets and didn't have to wait in line. On the whole, it was pretty cool. I'm a total nerd about this, but I always get excited when I see famous people up close. And it was FREE!!!!
Next up: Feist at the Wexner.
