Recovering From Thanksgiving
Well, I'm back again friends, after a hearty Thanksgiving (I hope that yours filled your heart as well as your stomach as much as it did mine.) It was nice having a little hiatus from the school atmosphere and go home, although at first I didn't think that I would. I was too settled to go home, too busy to want to stop and listen as my elderly family members remark on how big my hips have gotten since I've last seen them (and I can thank Street Sweets for that!). But I'm glad that I did go home after all.
I enjoyed being around so many familiar faces, from my 90 year-old great grandmother to her cat, which I swear has to be the fattest one in the world. I even was introduced to the newest addition of my family, my "cousin" Sarah who was born earlier this month. When I wasn't stuffing my face with dressing, turkey, greens, and even goose, I enjoyed looking at the Christmas tree already set up in the living room.
I even got to hang out with my best friend Sarah this week. We went out with her sister and mother during Black Friday (dun dun dun!) to go shopping. One of the places we went to was a new outdoor shopping area called Fallen Timbers. I had a good time, especially in Forever 21 (one of my favorite stores). The only thing that wasn't cool was the fact that I didn't have a jacket in 30 degree weather, which isn't actually the appropriate attire for an outdoor mall. But all well, I still had a lot to be thankful for. :D.
