So, I think I mentioned before how I was involved for Images of You. Images of You is an university-wide event that focuses on educating students about different issues and topics concerning diversity. A lot of RA candidates participate in this event, since being an RA means coming into contact with a diverse body of students.

Last year I was a part of Images of You and really enjoyed it. When my hall director mentioned possible involvement, I jumped on the opportunity to put on a session for this conference. One idea really popped out in my mind: interracial dating (I am currently in one). My staff members really liked the idea and so did Images of You. When one of the chairs for the event told me that my proposal had been accepted, I felt that I was on top of the world.

Well, that is, until reality pushed me off. I was so busy during that time period! My boyfriend, who was my partner, was dealing with homework--whereas my extracurricular obligations were really taking up time that I wanted to use for researching. That was not fun at all!

But I am so glad that I did this with my boyfriend! We had some technological difficulties before we started our presentation (which made me a little frazzled), but we pulled it together. I read some of the comments and they really liked it too. Chris and I are considering doing this next year too.
