April showers bring May flowers
I am totally and utterly finished with snow, freezing rain, and any temperature below 50 degrees. If I have to look longingly at my flip-flops one more time, only to pick up a pair of socks (and boots) designed for an Antarctic winter, I will, mark my words, pack a bag for South America.
With all of this said, I hope that my readers will reference back to this entry in mid-August when I am ranting about (and ultimatley craving) a brisk 50 degree football Saturday. :)
Although I could write my entire first blog entry on Ohio's outrageous bipolar temperatures, I feel a strong desire to document yesterday's date. April 16, 2007: one of the saddest days in American history, will be forever imprinted in all of our minds. However, with tragedy comes a new perspective of how grateful I am for my friends, family, and the entire Ohio State community. Walking around campus today, seeing the joy and lightheartedness that might not be as evident on VA Tech's campus, I can't help but think how insignifcant my complaints about the weather are.
