Life's like Hockey...
…The moment you stop trying to score goals, the game has ended.
With that being said, below is a list of my top goals I’d like to achieve during my third year at Ohio State. I will make periodic updates as I cross each goal off of my list.
1. Make 250 new acquaintances:
-a. It seems quirky! But – at that pace – I’ll leave Ohio State with 1,000 new friends!
2. Make at least 10 new close friendships:
-a. Because my line of work has no promise of location, it helps to have close friends in all parts of the state and country.
3. Maintain my GPA within .10 of a point:
-a. I’ll update how this is going after every quarter.
4. Pass Exam FM of the Society of Actuaries list of exams:
-a. This is the second career exam in my sequence of test taking.
5. Learn all of the material for Exam MLC & MFE:
-a. This is the third and fourth exams in the sequence
6. Maintain and improve the level of success of my campus organizations:
-a. Because many of my affiliations with these organizations are that of leadership roles, I’d like to leave a lasting impression not only for the group by myself as well.
7. Improve my relationships with my family:
-a. As I live on my own on a regular basis, I’ve begun to appreciate family on a higher level than when I had previously taken it for granted.
8. Improve my relationship with my girlfriend:
-a. This can be quite tedious because we attend universities separated by 3 hours of driving; however, that very circumstance is the reason I’d like continue to improve our 5 year relationship.
9. Witness an Ohio championship:
-a. Preferably Buckeyes or Indians, but the Cavaliers will do.
10. Continue to plan for my future:
-a. Prepare for another internship, be in a position to learn more complex processes for my future job, and also prepare a personal financial plan.
