Busyness
Like many other students, I always seem to busy. Even if I'm not doing anything, I'm busy doing nothing! Like taking a nap, watching tv or talking on the phone. Even though I was way more busier in high school and was involved in a lot of activities, College has its own load to handle.
I was the Drum major of my high school marching band, played the saxophone too, in the Drama program, Track team captain, a Varsity Cheerleader and Class president. Now I am in Bible Study and with Buckeye TV on Mondays, Praise Dance on Tuesdays, Gospel Choir on Wednesdays and a Journalism society on Thursdays. Granted these are just meetings and do not require strenuous practices each day, but I still get tired.
So how did I go from so involved in high school to less involved in College and being more tired? Well, that's College for you. All this free time can create a problem. Instead of having a structured 8-hour day, I get all my classes out of the way early, and then I nap.
I wasn't this bad last year. I would be up all day whether it be at work, in tuturing rooms, office hours and other activities. I would even take little campus tours and sight see down High St. (during the day of course).
I guess the first-year excitement wore off and the sophomore ennui set in. So howI do I get the zest back in my College life? I'm still working on the answer. For now I'll just try hard to stay up!
