Headed back to the Co
I'm getting my last minute laundry together and starting my packing. It's like the summer didn't start to fly until the end of August. I remember when I had at least a month left until classes begin and now only a weekend. But starting new quarters are always fun, especially since there's that surprise factor. You don't know what to expect from the courses, professors, new friends or places to eat......until you get toward the end of the quarter and you know all too well what to expect: The reading piles up, professors can be vapid, friends act up, and the food is so predictable. And before you know it, you're back to another exciting beginning of the quarter or so it seems!
Although I'm not quite ready to start school, I'm guess I'm ready for a change. I had such an eventful summer. That's why I really like being an out-of-state student because I get to experience so much more than just my hometown, and plus for the simple fact that I get to get away. Everyone needs and deserves a break, and I get one all the time! I get to see all my friends and family over the summer and holidays and just when those close to me start to get on my nerves, I'm off to Ohio! Or after Finals week, when I'm just about through with anything Ohio related, tired of the cold, or miss mom's cooking, I'm back to Hotlanta!
Oh what choices I have!
But of course there's a downside to every good side and that is the distance and travel expenses. Thankfully, I can manage the drive of about 9 hours, which is not too bad, especially since I have friends at OSU from San Antonio where it takes over 22 hours! It also helps to have Delta connections like I do so I can get free and discounted flights.
Well, let me finish the pack job and decide what I'm going to be wearing for the upcoming week, and then get Involvement Fair stuff together for Monday.
I'll see you in Columbus!
