First time Teaching

Last Monday I led Bible Study for the first time. It wasn't too bad, it just felt a little weird standing at the front of a classroom with all these eyes staring back at me. I actually give my professors credit now for being great at what they do because it's not an easy task to talk in front of a crowd and then impart knowledge to them!
The lessons are already outlined, I just have to come up with an interactive activity that relates and have good side notes and key topic questions to discuss. That's the only hard part: thinking up ways to get people involved because there's nothing like asking a group a question and then hearing 'crickets' back as the response.
Also, since I'm not a bible expert, I felt really incompetent trying to teach college students something they might already know. I'm glad that our advisor from the church comes to the bible studies because once when a student asked a difficult question, and I didn't have a good answer for them, the advisor, Jordan, did, which certainly helped because all I could tell the boy was to ask God and not me!
It's been week 2 as a teacher and the other leader and I are starting to get the hang of our teaching styles and beginning to feel more comfortable. We meet up at 6:00pm to go over how we want to teach the lesson and then head over to the Hale Center by 7:00pm. We've been having about 12 people come each week, which may not be a whole lot, but as the Bible says:
"Where a few are gathered together in my name, there I will be with them."

Also that week I was sent out on assigment by the Lantern to go to Macy's (my fav store) and interview Clinton Kelly from TLC's "What Not to Wear" TV show! This was one story that I was excited about. I got to leave the Lantern class early to head over to the Polaris Mall Macy's. Clinton was doing a fashion tips and show tour in Macy's across the U.S., and it was packed out. I was able to snag a couple questions in for him after the show, and he was nice and approachable (plus he has a Masters in Journalism) but he also kept it real just like he does on TV. When I asked him about what to wear on campus, he told me that what I had on (a fuchsia fleece jacket with matching tank) was comfortable and that I could step it up a notch!
Here's the story I wrote:
