Campaign Celebrities
It's like Ohio State has celebrities on campus every week! Barack Obama was here today for a rally while his wife, Michelle, Hillary Clinton and Chelsea were all here last week to campaign. Ohio is said to be one of the big states to win so of course candidates have to stop by OSU to gain votes. I wasn't able to attend Obama's rally since I had classes at the same time and a paper I just finished right before class.
I did get the opportunity to interview actor/comedian, Nick Cannon last week when he came to also help campaign for Barack. He was just the funny man he is on TV, and he was a little guy too, I think we were almost the same height and weight. Nick was so nice though and very willing to do an interview with Buckeye TV.
I am finally done with playing my saxophone at the different sporting events! It was fun sometimes, but it's so good to be done. When I just played at the Women's basketball game, some of the Boy's Basketball team came up to me at the end and said that they saw me on the Buckeye TV News. Wow, I guess our little station is starting to come up and more people are taking notice! My official last event was playing the National Anthem at the Swim & Diving Championship. The Band was so close to the water that everybody thought we were going to fall in, but we remained dry!
I probably would have pulled another all-nighter at Buckeye TV this weekend, but after coming back real late from another friend's birthday party at Applebee's, I came up to the Drake Union and the doors were locked. So that was like a blessing and a curse because I didn't have to stay there all night, but I still wasn't finished writing the News Show and all my stuff was inside! But it worked out though, I just had to run over to the station after Church the next day and quickly finish it up.
Here's the fun part: I got to anchor the show, but looks like we recorded the entire broadcast without any sound. So we basically did the whole show for nothing. But I wasn't mad, just hoped that it would never happen again.
