Super Snow Storm!

It's a real blizzard out here. Columbus, Ohio just received a record breaking 20.4 inches of snow! The last highest this city has seen is 15.3 inches in 1910. I just cannot believe the weather this week, a sunny 67 degrees on Monday, raining on Tuesday, snow on Wednesday, clear on Thursday ,and a snow storm on Friday! All day people were saying that the weather was going to get bad, but they always say that so I didn't expect anything big.

I was ready to go to my sister's apartment to celebrate her birthday, but she kept telling me not to come because it was so bad outside. I was like it couldn't be that bad until I looked outside my window and noticed that everything was totally white and snow was flying everywhere.

So I thought, "Okay snow, you might have me tonight, but I'm going out tomorrow."

Today, I got ready and headed out to go pay my storage bill. I took one step outside the door and sunk. Snow came up to my thigh! But I still persevered, I trudged through the snow, getting a total body workout. It took so much energy to lift my entire leg for every step I took, and the scary part was that I didn't know what I would be stepping on. Was a parking block under there? Or some debri on the street? Who knew? I just had to keep walking and pray that I wouldn't break a leg. A normal 2 minute walk to where I park my car turned into 10 tough minutes.

When I finally get to the lot, I can't even identify my car because all the vehicles are covered completely. After I spotted mine, I first tried to clear all the snow off the windows and then attempted to back it up. My car went back a foot, and my tires said, "that is enough." The snow was just too high, and it would really take a major shovel and a crew to plow it away. I can't believe I actually thought I could go somewhere today. I think my car laughed at me when I approached it.

So looks like I'm officially snowed in.
