Worn out on Week 1
I already feel like I need another spring break! I think it's The Lantern that's doing this to me. Just like in the Fall Quarter, it can take up every minute of the day. I did two conference calls on Tuesday- one with the star and producer of NBC's "High My Name Is Earl" and the other with Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano from Saved By the Bell) for her new dance reality show, "Step Up & Dance." I also had to interview this girl who started her own clothing line called "College Couture."
All the interviews went well, but that has been my main focus, not my other classes. I have been able to manage though since I kind of have to with my Hebrew and Sociology classes. Both require little essays to show that you read the material. It's interesting how there is always some similar point between your classes every quarter. In the Winter, two of my class dealt with studies and independent variables, and in the Fall, two of my classes had no homework.
I also have a quiz each week in my Hebrew class on five different chapters of the Bible. My first one went pretty well, maybe because everyone kind of knows about Adam and Eve and how God created the Earth, now passed that is where it can get a little difficult.
Even though it has been a little intense early on, there's always a bright side....At least I don't have to take a math class! And plus writing articles now doesn't take me nearly as long as it used to.
Here are my latest Lantern articles:
