winging it

Wow. What a day already. And it’s only 9:30 in the morning. So far the week’s only been about a day long for me (I hit the ground running in Columbus yesterday afternoon after working the weekend in Cincinnati) but I already can’t wait for it to be over.

I’m moving back to Cincinnati tomorrow, and quite honestly couldn’t be more excited, but this means I’m now rushing to get all my last minute papers, portfolios, and reports done while the rest of the students in the classes still have next week to work on them.

This morning in itself has been weird. There’s no other way to say it. I woke up around 5 this morning, and decided I’d finish packing the remaining items I have left. But apparently packing isn’t as quiet as I thought it would be, and after I had dropped three or so books, the girl I share a room with sat up and glared at me. Sooo packing wasn’t an option, there was no way I could get back to sleep, and I had already done all the work I could on my portfolios without my professors returning some of my research—so I pretty much sat staring at my empty wall for hours before leaving for my first class. And as I was walking into Caldwell Lab getting ready to completely wing my exam (why didn’t I study this morning, you ask. Winging it’s more exciting, I reply lamely), I realized that I was actually an hour and a half early. Who knows what I was thinking. Classes have been going to this class for the past few months, and I actually had to go back and check my schedule to remind myself what time I was supposed to be there.

So now I’m sitting here, waiting for my class to actually begin (and still not studying), trying to sort out everything I have to get done before tomorrow afternoon that I probably should have started working on weeks ago. I guess winging it can be stressful, but man it does make school life just a little more exciting.

I hope days on campus aren't always that boring! I really want to go to Ohio State but I want to make sure it's going to be the best time ever. Hope you did good on your exam!

haha pretty much any school is going to have its boring days, especially when homework starts piling up. Ohio State actually has lots of opportunities for fun, but like anywhere else, the experience is what you make of it. And I got an A on my exam...thanks for the concern, and thanks for the comment! Let me know if there's any info I can give you on ways to have fun up here.

I'm so glad to hear the somebody else "wings" it. Understandably there is no possible way to cover all the info needed for all classes and sometimes, especially with stress levels getting high and higher, equal coverage . . . unheard of.
Thanks for being real!
