My name is Anna, from Allegan, Michigan. I’m a junior this year, majoring in English Education and Bible. I’m a big fan of reading, hanging out with a lot of friends, picnicking, taking photos, and playing solitaire (I once won a game in 57 seconds!).

First Week... really?

So... talk about a wake-up call.

First week back at school feels like I'm already preparing for midterms. Is this just a harsh welcome to Junior year? Because it's going to be... most interesting, that's for certain!

Here's my schedule:

MWF:
9 AM - Church History with Prof. Eddy Field (I got 100% on the very first quiz, which is very promising!)
10 AM - CHAPELLLL YEAH!
11 AM - Issues in Contemporary Literature with Dr Jean Minto (already proving to be intense, we're going to be reading some really crazy stuff!)
12 PM - British Literature of the 16th and 17th Centuries with Dr RoseLee Bancroft (my favorite English prof, and my FAVORITE section of history of my FAVORITE country! What's not to love?!)
1 PM - New Testament with Pastor Allen (I got 105% on my first quiz yesterday! I cannot wait to see how much the Lord reveals to me through this class!)

Monday and Wednesday evenings at 8 PM:
Astronomy with Prof. Yoder the Elder (INTENSE! I'm in love with the night sky, and Cassiopeia is my favorite constellation. This class is going to be a stretch for me, but I'm going to do my best to think scientifically and mathematically in terms of... stars.)

Tuesday/Thursday:
11 AM - Educational Psychology with Dr Mac the Elder (We've only had this class once so far, Dr Mac hasn't been feeling well. But I look forward to this class, as it's my only Ed class this semester!)

All in all, a good schedule. But I don't know if you could pick up on it at all - I've got a LOT of reading on my plate this semester. Sometimes I'm just so grateful that English is my subject of choice, and therefore love reading more than almost anything. Just pray I have enough time in the day to complete all the reading that is necessary!

NEXUS TRAINING!

I'm not sure how much you all know about life in the Admissions Office, but it's basically my second home apart from my dorm room in Heritage Hall. And this week, all the new and returning student workers are back on campus for TRAINING!!! Oh yeah! :)

Training this year consists of meetings (in the most comfortable chairs on campus in the Bible and Israel room), team-building activities, and.... a Trenton Thunder baseball game!

Can I just say it's good to be back at PBU? More to come!

Team-building activity titled "Operation Photog!"

Home For A Sec...

YES and the summer's over!

Just some final highlights before I head back to school tomorrow:

1) Family vacation in Okoboji, Iowa for a week!

2) My boyfriend Kevin and I are finally reunited after a 2 month separation... He flew out to spend a four days with me and my family in Michigan! While in MI, we visited Crane's Orchard and Restaurant (note the freshly made apple cider!) and Lake Michigan at a beach in South Haven! Gorgeous weather!

3) No pictures for this one yet... a thirteen hour drive from Michigan to Washington DC to drop off my older brother at his new apartment!
