Hey everyone... my name is Heather. I am from Lockport, NY, right near Niagara Falls and Buffalo. I am a Senior here at PBU in the Dual Degree Counseling Program. Random fact about me... I love to make weird faces at people, especially if there is awkward eye contact!

home sweet home...

After finals were over, I packed up my car, cleaned my room and began my seven hour drive home.

Along the way, I learned how to put air in my tires... very useful information, let me tell you.

And now I sit... in the parking lot at Panera, making use of their free internet for a moment while I tell you how much I love being home for a little bit.
Yesterday, I went to Tasty Treat and got ICE CREAM!!!

mmm... now I don't tell you about this to make you jealous... but I hope that you go get Ice cream as soon as you are done reading this! and don't go to one of those chain icecream places... but find yourself a nice hometown ice cream place :)
And while we were at Tasty Treat, my friend Paco (nickname) decided to conquer the fake buffalo that was near our picnic table

sucess!

This morning... I went to go run an errand for my dad, he wanted me to pick up 8 bottles of weed killer at Valu, its like Home Depot, but has been around longer. So as I went to go run this errand, I stopped at Tim Hortons... only the best fast food coffee place ever.

I love the Ice Caps.... I recommend trying one if you are ever around a Tim Hortons!

So far, this week, I have read 3 and a half books... just for fun. it is really nice reading something you don't have to read! On Sunday I drive back to school, I am going to work in the Admissions Office for a couple weeks, so if you are around stop by and say hi!

finals week is over!

So..I haven't written in a couple days... mainly because of finals week...
Finals week:
- you forget what day it is of the week several times in the same day, but you can remember that Livingstone was a missionary to Africa, that John Eliot was a president of Princeton for 6 months, and the greek paradigm of "eimi"
- to take a break from studying, you take advantage of anything free you can get that week... even if that means driving half an hour to get a free Ben and Jerry's ice cream cone
- you paint your nails every other day because it doesn't take much thinking
- in your free time, you are either studying for the next exam you have to take or writing a paper and hoping that you remember all that you studied while writing it
- you aren't exactly sure how you will get through the week, spend the week in sweat pants and don't have a regular meal schedule... its all based on how long coffee will hold you over.
- it is the only time that you will see some people up before 7am, and that is because they are studying.
- you might think that after your last exam you are finished, but then you remember that you still have to pack up your entire room and clean it spotless.

and when it is all done, you have completed another year, and it is all worth it somehow, but you are too tired to explain in words why it is all worth it, you just know it is.

And then you go home. and wait for another year.

hey, I'm now a SENIOR!!!

Heather
