"I'll be a dandy and I'll be a rover, you'll know who I am by the songs that I sing..."
What an appropriate title for my blog about camp... well, really only the "you'll know who I am by the songs that I sing" part. Spending a week with 8 Jr. High girls you sing a lot of songs... I actually sang this song that I am using for my titles this summer as a lullaby to my cabin one night, just like my mom used to sing to me.
I am not sure how many of you have ever been to camp or worked at camp, but it is exhausting! You know what though? It is all worth it! Here is a picture of my cabin of girls
I love them. We were also teamed up with a guys cabin to form a team... want to know what our team name was? Yeah you do... it was the "Flatulating Platypuses" We were the best team ever!
The girls in my bunkhouse made a banner for the team, and then in return, the boys made us a little stick and ducktape flag, so here is a picture of my co-team captain and the boy flag
. Nice flag huh?
You know how God teaches us little lessons all the time, if we are willing to look for them? Well, during this week I kept being reminded that we are all a work in progress... and that is ok.
It is only a few more weeks until school starts up again... You never think that summer is going to go by as fast as it does. Tomorrow some friends from school are coming to my house to stay the weekend because two of our friends are getting married on Saturday, its definately weird when your friends start getting married!

And here is a picture of Long Lake from our cabin
and here is one with me in it as proof that I went up it...
Here is a picture of my Uncle Scott on the same trip...
