I’m Janice! I hail from the wonderful (but relatively unknown for some reason) little town of Flemington, NJ — home of Liberty Village Premium Outlets and the courthouse where the Lindbergh baby trial took place. I’m a transfer student, majoring in Social Work & Bible, and I’ve finally made it to my senior year! I may be a TKD black belt... but I’m terrified of bugs.

Still not too cool for school

The six-year-old in me comes out shrieking and dancing like a wild woman as soon as the first day of a new school year is within sight. The anticipation of brand spankin’ new classes, seeing and reuniting with familiar faces again, and stocking up on cute pens that will ultimately help me take better notes overpowers any dreadful thoughts of all-nighters and textbooks that are too expensive. I am never happier than when I am wandering through the aisles of Target or Staples, just searching for the perfect thing that will undoubtedly make it a rocking semester. But I must admit, my favorite part of the back-to-school process is spending too much time deciding on what to wear the first day of class. This is very important! It creates a visual reputation for you before your professors even know who you are – while it may take them two weeks to eventually learn your name, they will definitely remember “that girl that sat in the back BUT was dressed brightly enough to rival the fluorescent lights on the ceiling~

So the night before, after rolling around on the floor of my apartment for a good 2O minutes or so in deep thought + deliberation, it came to be that my theme for my first day back was “bright. But was it bright enough? I’ll let the professors decide.
