I’m Janice! I hail from the wonderful (but relatively unknown for some reason) little town of Flemington, NJ — home of Liberty Village Premium Outlets and the courthouse where the Lindbergh baby trial took place. I’m a transfer student, majoring in Social Work & Bible, and I’ve finally made it to my senior year! I may be a TKD black belt... but I’m terrified of bugs.

Please, no more rain..

For the "Let's CAN Hunger" campaign, PBU SIFE has paired up with the Chick-fil-A on Oxford Valley Road (if you're not familiar with which one this is, rest assured that when you are a PBU student you will most definitely become well-acquainted with this establishment) for a nifty all-day food drive tomorrow, June 25th!

The way it works: if you bring in a non-perishable item.. or items.. you receive a coupon for a free milkshake! Exciting! All proceeds will benefit the Penndel Food Pantry, so you can have your milkshake and drink it too.. guilt-free (:

My little sister also graduated from high school this past weekend. I'm in some serious disbelief. I mean, here I am feeling like my high school days were just the other day.. the fact that my sister is now a high school grad only confirms one of my worst fears: I'm old.
Since it has been raining for the past forever and people were concerned that graduation was going to be rained out and postponed, but on this day there was only the threat of angry, dark clouds looming above the football stadium where the graduation took place. At one point, though, a beam of sunshine even shot through the clouds and it was fantastic! God was so good to Central's graduating class of 2OO9^^

Before the sprinklers come on

Ohhhhhhhhh goodness.
So summer session I ended on a (hopefully) successful note, and here I am.. almost done with my first week of summer session II. We actually have an exam tomorrow that I should be reviewing for, but just as I opened my notes it occurred to me that RIGHT THIS VERY INSTANT was the perfect time to update.

(Yes, I tend to be a huge procrastinator -- but I always get things done. Don't you worry!)

Anyway, I'm taking Doctrine III right now with Professor Field who is hilarious and super knowledgeable.. AND he occasionally writes things on the board -- which I appreciate because visuals are always a plus (I feel like it pretty much implies something among the lines of HEY YOU SHOULD PROBABLY WRITE THIS DOWN BECAUSE IT'S IMPORTANT ENOUGH FOR ME TO WRITE OUT WHILE TALKING ABOUT IT)~ I've had him before for a number of other classes, and he's proven to be quite awesome time and time again. Which is naturally why I opted to take him this summer (:

I've been/still am commuting from home to summer courses. It's about an hour drive, which isn't too bad.. and I've learned a few things from my countless hours on the road. The top two revelations being:
1. it's a great opportunity to learn a song in its entirety
2. it's not always the young'uns that are the crazy and reckless drivers.

Yep, it's an adventure..

Janice
