My name is Lynn. I’m from Claymont, Delaware and I’m a Social Work student. Whipped cream scares me and I like the smell of skunk!

Those leftover dreammms!

TONIGHT WAS SO MUCH FUN!

The Jazz Ensemble played in the Eagles Nest and we got to dress up!
It was awesome. All of my close girlfriends in the hall came to support the band and I. I used to get so nervous before performing but having all these concerts has really made me so careless. God has given me this voice and I shouldn't be nervous to use it.

This morning we went on a class trip to the Penn Museum.
It was actually awesome to see mummies and statues that they had back in the day.
When I found out that everything was authentic It just made the whole trip even more cool. I wasn't sure if we could take pictures in the Museum, so I didn't risk it. I did take some outside the museum and at my jazz concert though.

Days like these are so great!

Post Valentines day!

It's about 11:00pm and I just returned from my Jazz Concert in a borders about an hour away. I forgot my camera :( so I don't have any pictures to post sorry! Anyway the concert went well even thought my throat was hurting the whole day. While I was singing I spotted a cute older couple smiling and nodding at me encouragingly. After I sang i went to thank them, and while talking to them I found out that they were both social workers. I asked them all kinds of questions and it just confirmed my soon to be major even more. I've been praying about what my major will be next year and I really feel like through little things, God is leading me towards social work.

Altogether it was a cool night.

SNOW DAYYY!

After my 8am class and my nap I went to lunch in the SNOW
only to find out that everything for the afternoon is CANCELED!
I didn't have to go to Jazz Ensemble or Work which was a total break for me.
I did however get to go to Gospel Choir (We are singing in chapel tomorrow)
I spend the rest of the night playing and walking in the snow
(it was cold but very beautiful and fun)
Today was pretty good.

homesick?

I think I’m beginning to feel a bit homesick. I haven’t been home since Christmas break and I miss my Mom. My little cousins are probably forgetting me and my best friend is probably out finding a best friend who has time for her. I had to ignore her call at dinner, but I just didn’t have the time to talk. I love school and I love the friends that I’ve made here but there’s no one quite like your best friend. She knows me in and out and she can make me laugh in almost any situation. Spring break is in a month and it’ll be a break that I will welcome with open arms. It’s true, college gets stressful and I can’t wait to see my family and Susan (best friend). They are truly a Blessing!

First Weekend of Febuary

This weekend was so much fun. It started off with my ministry; Urban Hope. It was a youth rally and my good friend Drew shared his testimony to a sanctuary of 200 kids or more. He accepted Christ in October and it's amazing to see how God has been working in his life.

Saturday I slept in until 11! It was GREAT. A few friends and I had lunch at Chick Fil A and I spend the rest of the day with my boyfriend. We did the usual dinner and a movie. It was fun but bitter sweet because I won't get to see him this upcoming weekend. Having a long distance relationship is hard for us, but we're trying our best and I hope that in the end it'll all be worth it.

Today (Sunday) was a nice lazy day full of church, shopping, and picnics. Just what I needed.
