My name is Lynn. I’m from Claymont, Delaware and I’m a Social Work student. Whipped cream scares me and I like the smell of skunk!

Carnival

My bestfriend Susan and I went to the Holy Rosary carnival tonight
to get in touch with our childish side. We really have no problem doing that
but we decided that the carnival would be an exuse to act like kids and go on rides :)
Susan's cotton candy got stolen by a little kid
and the boy running the "gun" game let us take free rounds
We even ran into some friends from high school.
We laughed A LOT.
it was brilliant :)

We were SO SCARED at the top of the ferris wheeel

Summers Here!!

So I guess it's been a while since I last posted a blog.
I wish I could say that I'm in full summer swing but I can't!!! The weather is so crazy
one days is kind of warm and the next day I'm wearing a hoody and jeans. (WHAT IS THAT?). I've been hanging out with some of my friends and taking it easy before I start working a little bit at my Mom's office and trying to find another summer job.

I know that a lot of people think that Delaware is boring. But in the summer DELAWARE is HOPPING. From carnivals for Italian festivals to jazz festivals... My summer nights are pretty much booked until August and the fun has already begun!

Saturday My friends and I went to a fish and chips place called "Stoneys" to see our friends play funky music. We had a blast making silly signs for them and eating the best french fries in the world.

Recap of Freshman Year

So I'm sitting in my room (I should be packing or cleaning)
but I'm just sitting here writing my blog. It's about 10:10 am
and I'm feeling kind of melancholy. I leave for the summer in about two hours.
I want to leave... a lot. I am really looking forward to this break but I think I'm going to be a little college sick for a bit.

I think about august 29th and moving in and I can't even believe how fast the time has gone.
I've made friends, lost friends, cried over everything, LIVED WITH SOMEONE, passed classes that I never thought I'd pass, got a job, and I've grown closer with my Lord.

The Amazing thing about PBU is that they encourage you to learn and to love learning. Brilliant professors here often say that they are still students even though most of them have their doctorates. I never thought I'd sit in a class and enjoy it, and not care whether I get an A or a B but to just make sure that I'm learning and trying my absolute best in the class.

Oh I'm going to missssss good ol' PBU.
