I'm exausted
Summer is going by so fast and earlier this week I seriously considered quitting Girls Inc.
This job is so emotionally and physically draining that when I get home all I want to do is watch Tv and sleep. My friends have called and asked to hang out with me but I can't muster up any strength to go out on weeknights. and when I AM with friends ALL I talk about is these kids and the funny things that they say or the sad stories that they tell. The beginning of this week was so hard but yesterday and today I had some breakthroughs with two of the girls. A breakthrough is like when one of the kids lets their guard down and actually behaves like a child. He or she will shed the tough girl/guy image and just laugh or cry or even talk a problem out. God is providing breakthroughs right and left and I am very thankful. When the day is stressful, time for a laugh or a time for a hug and wipe away some tears is welcome with open arms.
