Philadelphia

I love the fact that PBU is so close to center city Philadelphia.
On Saturday, my suite-mate Sarah and I hopped in Peter Piper (her ruby red car)
and went on the adventure of a lifetime (or at least the weekend). We practically walked around the whole entire city stopping only for coffee and food breaks. We finally decided that we really wanted to see a show so we stopped at Walnut Street Theater to see what was playing. To our surprise STATE FAIR was playing and we got "stand by" tickets for $15. Basically, "stand by" tickets are sold when the show is sold out but sometimes people don't show up so stand by tickets fill up the seats. We didn't care if we couldn't find seats together, we just wanted to see a show. Thankfully we got seats together making the show 10x better because we could whisper and laugh together. All in all, the day was pretty perfect. The city was beautiful. The brown, yellow, and orange crunched beneath our feet as we walked passed beautiful town homes and historical sights.

We had no set plans just an open day to spend in the city with each other. I don't know what was better, seeing the sights or getting to know Sarah. We are two completely different girls from two completely different worlds almost, but somehow we have a lot in common. She makes me laugh and loves Les Mis just as much as I do if not more. God really works in mysterious ways and has brought her into my life at just the right time. She gives great advice and listens better than anyone I know. I hope there are more Philly trips in the future :)
