My name is Lynn. I’m from Claymont, Delaware and I’m a Social Work student. Whipped cream scares me and I like the smell of skunk!

Dobar Dan (Good Day)

My trip to Bosnia was amazing. I wish I could say more but Alas,
I cannot. The transition back into school has been hard, but debriefing and lots of
prayer has me feeling a lot better. I've learned so much just by being there for only
a week and I'm praying about going back this summer!

Bread and Coffee

A lot of times when people leave for trips to foreign countries they lose weight.
I'm pretty sure that I have gained 10 pounds in Bosnia. It's kind of hilarious.
We have bread with every single meal and coffee seven or more times a day.
Deserts are sugar bread or some kind of bread cake. I'm pretty much overdosing on bread
and coffee. Being in Bosnia is amazing, the last thing that I want to do is leave.
Everyday we do home visits taking food to refugee's from the war. Listening to the stories
is hard but I know that part of the healing process is being able to openly talk about the past.
I hope we are helping them heal by listening and showing love.

Gorazde, Bosnia

Spring Break is in a few hours and Instead of lounging at home, I will be flying to Gorazde, Bosnia with 9 others from PBU! This trip is going to be so exciting and I wish I could give more details but I cannot because Bosnia is a closed country. We are leaving Monday March 16 (In four days!!!!) This whole weekend will be dedicated to packing and sleeping and most of all PRAYING for the trip lol. I'm not excited about the long plane ride but one night when we're there we'll be learning Bosnian folk dancing!

Packing is the most nerve-wracking thing ever
but I love it <3
Please pray for my trip to Bosnia
and expect a huge PICTURE update when I get back.

I've been sick :(

For the past two weeks I've been pretty sick.
I'm not sure what it is but I've got the whole nine yards (nasty cough, stuffy nose, excessive tiredness and more). It kind of stinks being sick at school but I was able to be taken care of by my bestfriends here and my boyfriend. I even went home last weekend to spend some time with my Mom. All of my professors were very understanding and gave me enough time to catch up on school work that I'd missed because of Doctors Appointments. I did not miss that much school, but homework piles up sometimes and I was really feeling overwhelmed. The support of my friends at school was awesome, It feels so good to be surrounded by people who love you when you feel under the weather. :)

I am on anti-biotics now and I'm feeling much better.
Praise God <33
