<![CDATA[This Easter was probably the most memorable Easter ever. My home church did something totally different for their Easter 11am service. Instead of a normal service, my church had "Resurrocktion", and Dan (boyfriend) and I had the privilege of being a part of it. Instead of contemporary worship songs, Pastor Brad picked songs from secular rock artists and used them to tell the resurrection story. A lot of people thought that this idea was crazy (including me) but Pastor Brad and his wife trusted that this was God's plan for our church. He advertised on Delaware's most popular radio station and we put crazy signs in our yards. My church had a total rock-n-roll makeover complete with lazer lights, fog machines, and a cat walk. As Dan and I saw everything come together we began to see Pastor Brad's vision for this service. At 10:30 on Easter Sunday people that I have never seen before and some church family members came piling in. Church was packed and during the service I noticed people who were sitting in church who I'd never expect to see sitting in a church haha! As people were singing along to the popular music, they were hearing the Gospel message, it was the coolest thing to witness. God totally blessed the event and I even got to talk to a girl who got saved. I'm so glad that I got to be apart of such an amazing event!

I invited friends from home

it was so fun. Unlike most people
I loved it when they all sang to me
and I screamed and danced to their silly happy bday song.
The best part about the whole night was the fact

weekend was the PBU formal.
My Suite-mate and bestie Sarah and I beautified ourselves all day
to this sweet event! We wore long gowns and got our hair done by
one of our hallmates. It was fun! The formal took place at the top of a tower
it was like the 55th floor and the view was amazing.
My favorite part was the food and the staff. We all felt like royalty
the staff was so nice and the food tasted amazing. It was a great time
for us students to get together in a different setting. Here are some pictures...

A lot of times when people leave for trips to foreign countries they lose weight.
I'm pretty sure that I have gained 10 pounds in Bosnia. It's kind of hilarious.
We have bread with every single meal and coffee seven or more times a day.
Deserts are sugar bread or some kind of bread cake. I'm pretty much overdosing on bread
and coffee. Being in Bosnia is amazing, the last thing that I want to do is leave.
Everyday we do home visits taking food to refugee's from the war. Listening to the stories
is hard but I know that part of the healing process is being able to openly talk about the past.
I hope we are helping them heal by listening and showing love.

<![CDATA[Spring Break is in a few hours and Instead of lounging at home, I will be flying to Gorazde, Bosnia with 9 others from PBU! This trip is going to be so exciting and I wish I could give more details but I cannot because Bosnia is a closed country. We are leaving Monday March 16 (In four days!!!!) This whole weekend will be dedicated to packing and sleeping and most of all PRAYING for the trip lol. I'm not excited about the long plane ride but one night when we're there we'll be learning Bosnian folk dancing!

Packing is the most nerve-wracking thing ever
but I love it <3
Please pray for my trip to Bosnia
and expect a huge PICTURE update when I get back.

I'm not sure what it is but I've got the whole nine yards (nasty cough, stuffy nose, excessive tiredness and more). It kind of stinks being sick at school but I was able to be taken care of by my bestfriends here and my boyfriend. I even went home last weekend to spend some time with my Mom. All of my professors were very understanding and gave me enough time to catch up on school work that I'd missed because of Doctors Appointments. I did not miss that much school, but homework piles up sometimes and I was really feeling overwhelmed. The support of my friends at school was awesome, It feels so good to be surrounded by people who love you when you feel under the weather. :)

I am on anti-biotics now and I'm feeling much better.
Praise God <33

<![CDATA[My really really good friend Modesty got married on Saturday :)
I got to be a bridesmaid and I literally had SO MUCH FUN.
I must have slept a total of eight hours the whole weekend and now I'm kind of sick :(
but it was pretty much worth it. Modesty has been a great friend for a while and a great sister
in Christ. She really has a lot to do with my decision to look at Christian colleges
and she's visited me on campus a few times. It was great to see her find a good Christian guy
who will be the leader in her marriage. Her new husband Ryan is so nice and I'm so happy
she found him. My Mom, Step-Dad and boyfriend were all there. My church family
was there too so it was awesome. Modesty looked beautiful and we all danced the night away!

<![CDATA[So I got through the first week of my second semester as a Sophomore!
I have to admit that I love ALL OF MY CLASSES!! (What are the odds that I would ever say that??). I ended up having to switch my schedule all around in order to get into a Social Work class called Human Development at 8am on Monday Wednesday and Friday. Human Development is like Psychology but more about a humans behavior and how they develop (I think that's what its about... I've only had one class). My Second class on MWF is Sociology and I really like my professor, I can tell she's going to be very interesting. I looked at the syllabus and all the papers that we're going to have to turn in are two pages long and the topics for us to write about are interesting SCORE! Class number 3 is Human and Cultural Diversity which is the study of culture and humans (obviously!) it's really neat to study our behavior and why we act the way we do and how we interact around different cultures. I really like the class discussions that we have about race and prejudice, I think I'm going to have new outlooks on everything when this class is over! My 4th class is WORLD CIV II. I was worried I would have to drop it but NO!! I'm taking it at 2pm with the same professor and I still intend on doing awesome. I already have reviewed my notes from that first class and we have a quiz on Friday and I'm gonna get a good grade!!! My 5th and final class is The Gospels and I have it on Thursdays for 3 hours :( but the good thing is.. it's not a boring class. The professor is so funny and makes things so interesting by telling stories that help us remember stuff.

Those are my five classes.
This doesn't include my two extra classes (Jazz and Opera)
I'll talk more about them later!

So as you can see I'm so excited about this whole semester
and I'm praying that my excitement stays so I can keep my grades up!

Pray for me?

-Lynn

So last semester... I was kind of a slacker.
I put a lot of other things in front of school work
and my grades really really suffered.
This semester, that IS NOT going to happen.

World Civ 1 was my hardest class last semester (or so I thought).
Because it was so challenging, I pretty much ignored it and laughed off my "F's" (yes F's) on the tests. I had a "oh I'll never get it" attitude, and because of that I was failing the class. Even my professor was really concerned that I was going to fail and he told me that I had to pass the final in order to pass the class. I studied my little bottom off and passed that seriously hard exam. so I passed the exam but I also learned a serious lesson. Being intimidated by a class is NOT an excuse for me to slack off. This semester I have world civ 2 with the same professor at 8am and I'm actually excited. I'm going to kick the booty of this class and PASS by working really hard. Passing that hard final exam showed me that it's not a waste of time to study and it feels so good to be rewarded for hard work!!!

World Civ 2.. You better watch out!!!

<![CDATA[For some strange reason I can't just relax. I have to keep going and going... It's kind of lame because this break flew by so fast and I'm not sure I relaxed enough. December 13th to now has been lovely and I'm so thankful that I got to spend a lot of time with my friends, family, and my boyfriend! I even saw my girls from Girls Inc. and spent the day with them. Christmas time really is the most wonderful time of the year and I feel so blessed. God has put wonderful people in my life. I even went to Tennessee to meet Dan's (boyfriend) family.

      <![CDATA[aka.. FUN!!

My dear friend Whitney is leaving after this semester so we took her out to HIBACHI on Friday night!! The chefs chopped and cooked right in front of us, and even threw food into our mouths. It was very bizarre but fun. I'm really going to miss Whitney, we have had at least one class together each semester so we'd always walk together and sit by each other in class. I'll really miss that next semester because some of our greatest talks were on the walkway! We also lived in the same hall last year and this year so a lot of bonding/ girl talk took place in both of our rooms. Friday night was such a bittersweet occasion. I was glad to hang out with girls but it was sad because our friend was leaving us :(

On Saturday I went Christmas shopping!!!!! I finally got to cross some items off of my Christmas list which was nice because when I go home I only have my Mom and Gmom to shop for.. that should be easy! ANYWAY more importantly Saturday night I went to see LEGALLY BLONDE at the Kimmel Theater. Legally Blonde is one of my favorite movies so seeing the musical was AMAZING. The dancing and singing was great.. God really blesses people with amazing talent and it was awesome to watch them use their gifts.

      <![CDATA[The opera went so well!
It was really fun dressing up and putting on a show for friends and family.
I wore a blue dress with sparkles :) and my friend Emily did my hair. I felt
as pretty as a Cinderella should! and I did ok on my song. My knees were shaking because I was so nervous but it was fine (not my best). Everybody did an amazing job. The spring musical auditions were the other day and we're doing The Mikado. I screamed when I heard the news because I love Gilbert and Sullivan!!!! My character is named Peep Bo. The part is not huge but I can tell from the music that it'll be pretty fun!

exams are coming up... prayyyyy that i'll have the will power to study!
