I am honored to be the first alumnus to serve as President at PBU. In addition to my professional interests and education, I have always been interested in history, politics, and culture and serve as a member of the Board of Governors of the John Jay Institute for Faith, Law and Society in Colorado Springs Colorado. I grew up in Middletown, Pennsylvania where I graduated from Middletown Area High School and am a first generation college graduate. I trusted Christ during my high school years and after that I served several years as Horsemanship and Wilderness Program Director at Camp Hebron in Halifax, Pennsylvania. I met my wife Dawn while working at the camp. We have been married for twenty one years, have two teenagers, Connor and Caitlin, and live in Morrisville, Pennsylvania. As a family we enjoy music, the arts and the outdoors. We spend as much time as we can outside gardening, canoeing, fly-fishing, and hiking. I also enjoy golf and tennis. We attend Westerley Road Church in Princeton, New Jersey.

"Tell the students ..."

Today I spent much of the morning making telephone calls thanking people who have made recent contributions to the annual scholarship fund here at PBU. This important fund makes it possible to provide financial aid to the students at our university. I always enjoy reaching out and talking to these folks who believe in the value of a PBU education and want to see students get the help they need to pay for a quality biblical university education. I usually take just a few moments of their time, thank them, ask them how they are doing and how I can pray for them. They often end up thanking us for the work we're doing. Some end the conversation by saying they wish there was more they could do. I am always encouraged by that and by the way the Lord uses His people to bless this university and its students. Today, one very nice gentleman who has been giving for years asked me to, "Tell the students they're getting a great education that will change their lives. Tell them not to take it for granted." I simply assured him that I do that every chance I get.

TWF:

Todd-
Hope all is well with you. Once again, it was nice seeing you, Dawn, and the kiddos at HC.

So, the reason for the "comment" was I wasn't sure how to get a hold of you (via e-mail, phone, etc.). I was at Capitol Hill Baptist Church yesterday and I spoke with Mark Dever. He told me that you guys got together on Saturday. Great! So, what prompted it and what did you two discuss? I would love to hear all about it. Send me an e-mail or drop me a line.

Hope to hear from you soon.

In Him and for Him-
Tim

P.S.- Blogs, a nice touch, but what's up with the sports teams (other than volleyball)?
