Hey everyone! My name is Trevor. I am from Mt. Holly, NJ in Burlington County. I am in the Dual Degree Social Work Program here at PBU. I’m also a piano player and have been playing for about 15 years. I play for the PBU  Gospel Choir, which has been a blessing. The Lord has also blessed me to be able to play at a lot of places over the last few years. I like to have fun, laugh a lot, and joke around. Random fact about me: I talk to myself and laugh at my own jokes. Okay, don’t laugh, I am an only child! Is that still weird?

Thoughts of Winter by Trevor Chin

How snow clings to evergreens

Even in the midst of the storm
Oh how I want to likewise cling to YOU
When the storms of life come, instead of
Following the wind, hold tight to what’s true
So many other ways to go
Other ways to follow
Life gets heavy, thick
Begins to become hard to swallow
Anger, pain, hurt, sorrow
Emotionless filled nothingness
Holds on till tomorrow
“Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty
Thus I fight not as one who beats the air
It gets hard, but into the bottomless pit you stare
“But I buffet my body, and bring it to subjection
When emotions get thrown at me
I turn my back in rejection
Show it no kind of affection
Praise God for subjection
“Lest when I have preached to others
I myself should become disqualified
To He who is glorified, magnified
To His love which has been fortified…
AMEN

How Great Thou Art

RESIDENT ASSISTANT....OR BUST....

Well, today was the day
. Today was the day for the first wave of the Resident Assistant interviews and believe me, they were intense…so I woke up this morning, put on my Sunday best, even ironed my t-shirt and my tie just to make sure everything was crisp! Went to my first set of classes for the morning, then walked into the interview room with my head as high as I could get it and my chest out. Sat in front of the room with 3 other applicants, and watched 2 resident directors give us stiff faces, and intense questions. Now it was intimidating because the 2 resident directors are real cool guys, (Tom and Stephen-LOVE YALL!) and they are real laid back, but for this interview, it was business. The interview went real well, and was an 90 minutes long…wow…so, first wave down, 1 more to go….PRAY FOR ME!

I WANT TO GET AWAY, I WANT TO GET AWAY! AND FLY?

Ok, this week was…was…probably one of the longest weeks I had. There was so much due, a deadline for everything. It was…it was…whew. It would have truly been impossible to walk into next week ready for it without a real get away. I could not be on campus, I could not be in the library, I really just needed to get away, so that is exactly what I did!
I Packed up the car, and went to Baltimore, Maryland. I had $27.45 in my pocket, a full tank of gas, and a pack of lunchmeat with bread…IM OUT! So I went on my journey to go stay with my cousin and just be able to relax for the weekend. Slept on Friday night, and then woke up Saturday morning to start the festivities at the harbor. Found a parking spot, and just walked around. I saw the biggest Barnes and Noble in my life. It made reading look like an amusement park! I was going to go into ‘The Center of Marine Biotechnology’ but realized, after $27.45 dwindles after a meal to $12.27, just didn’t seem quite economical!
The weekend was truly one of which was very needed, mentally, physically, spiritually, and just all around good for me! Next week dead line? HA, I’m ready! Next week trials and tribulations? HA, I’m ready! Next week long library nights? HA, ok, well not quite ready, BUT THAT’S WHY I AM STILL DOWN HERE!

SUPER SIDE BAR, THE TOLL COMING BACK WAS 9 DOLLARS!!!!!! WHAT?!?!?
SO....HERE I STAND, ME, AND MY STRONG $3.27...MAYBE ILL GET A GALLON OF GAS OR SOMETHING!

OVER AND OUT!
