AHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Please take a moment of silence for the mini camera I had... it has succumbed to temptation... and by temptation I mean I dropped my back back down too hard and cracked the screen.

Therefore, I cannot offer you an fantastic random shots unless I have my more powerful digital camera (Nikon D300), but it is an expensive camera so I don't usually take it around everywhere with me. This might mean... *Cue duh duh duh music* I will have to use cell phone pictures! AHHHHHHH!!!!!

A little while ago I probably saw the ugliest car in the world... it looks like a bunch of high school kids splattered paint all over it. I didn't know how to respond! The driver was looking at my hot rod that I was driving and I was looking at his... thing that he was driving and long story short, my friend who was in the car with me got a picture of his car.

it was rather interesting, I wouldn't call it ugly because as I was corrected in the art museum no modern art is 'ugly' its 'expressive'. Therefore, this car was the most expressive car I have ever seen, to the point of blindness.
Actually, looking at this picture blown up it looks kind of cool, but what you cant tell from the picture is that the entire interior was painted like this, the hook caps and every inch of paint. This wasn't air brushed it looked like acrylic paint or the squeeze bottle paint. But I do give props to whoever did it for the time and effort put into creating this 'expressive' work of art.

I am excited for this upcoming week of school. Weekends make me miss school actually. Call me weird but I enjoy a good paper. And after doing research in 6 commentaries in the library on Friday for a few hours I needed a break. But by Saturday afternoon I wanted to go back and jump back into the paper. But that is what I will be doing Sunday night so I do not have long to wait! I love papers, I love Theological Papers and Philosophical papers.

That reminds me that I have to set up a time to meet with Dr. Yoder about when he wants to meet to go over the book "Whats so great about Christianity". If you have ANY Atheist friends that you are working on sharing your faith with I HIGHLY recommend reading this book. Thanks to Dr. Yoder for introducing me to this book, its pretty intensely awesome.

Also, a fun fact. Dr. Yoder used to skateboard and once showed me his skills by borrowing my skateboard and zooming through the parking lot on it.
And here is that succession of photos thanks to a gif animator.

I hope everyone is having a great semester wherever you are.

And also, one last thing. A shout-out to the coolest married couple I know, the Consoli's. They have been like a second family to me since I am not yet domesticated in living on my own off campus. They help me with things like learning to cook well and opening up their home to fellowship. Awesome friends that I would have never known if I hadn't come to PBU. Thank God for friends like them.

Alright, I am off because tomorrow is Sunday and have to get up early because the 9:30am is always better than the lazy 11:30 am, you know what i'm talking about.

Great night of catching up

Alright so we haven't had a man's night in a while filled with hanging out, burping, random fighting and perhaps a little bit of world domination.
Five of my good friends came by last night and we just hung out and watched a movie and it rocked. It was good to hang out with those guys finally which we haven't done in a while since 4 of us are seniors its hard to find free time.

The best conversation was talking about ministry. Four of us are involved in Ministry positions and its awesome to get to fellowship and share about our experiences. Not only that bu laughing your butt off at a movie with good friends is always great too.

Yesterday was a great day because I got to meet with a Prof about a book we are discussing, yesterday overall was a great day. I will take more pictures soon and post them.

This weekend I am heading to a hot rod show to do some photography and my Dad is showing one of his hot rods (his 40 Ford coupe, the "purple nurple") so it will be fun regardless. I love hot rod shows!

Easter Weekend... a time for bugging parents and remembering the Resurrection

This weekend was pretty great, I was able to catch up with a few friends from high school that I haven't seen in over two years. Its amazing to have conversations and hear about how different our college experiences have been. We went to Cheeburger Cheeburger and it was delicious. Since it's a 50s restaurant I drove my Dad's 1930 Ford Coupe. When I got back I spent a couple hours in my garage rebuilding the carburetor on my 1929 Ford Tudor. Its back up and running again and will be coming up to school hopefully tonight after night class.

I got to spend a lot of time with my parents and my brother it was fun to box with my brother like we used to. We haven't really had the opportunity to have that "brotherly competition" and all we needed was a holiday to really spark that desire to wrestle. It was good to bug my parents and catch up.

This morning I drove my motorcycle to school today to save on gas, froze (35ºF) my butt to the seat but I love riding the bike.

This morning Fink really challenged us to understand what it meant to be a follower of Jesus today, and comparing that to followers of other religions. What makes us difference? How do we know that Jesus is right? It was a really challenging class and I feel that I grew a lot in that 50 minute time period. AWESOME.

Here is a picture of my 29 Ford Tudor:

Philadelphia Museum of Art Sunday Trip

Awesome... AWESOME trip. Palm Sunday service was great, I went on Saturday night since Sunday I was planning to go into Philly.

I wanted to go to the giant Philadelphia SS. Peter and Paul Cathedral but didn't get there in time since I fell asleep on the train and got off at the wrong stop. I ended up walking a lot farther than planned but had a great time doing it and met a lot of nice people.

I went to the Philadelphia Museum to Art with some friends and it was great, I love that place. I wasn't too keen on the contemporary art. Personally it looked like a child drew on a wall with crayons, but that was just me and I was promptly corrected by a guy in tight black pants and a striped red and black sweater that it was intentional art and every stroke of the brush was put there for a purpose.

(Shakespeare and I hanging out, trying to see what he was looking at)

I do love the renaissance art though, I love spending time in that section and can spend hours looking at the sculptures, wood carvings and paintings. I highly recommend if you are visiting PBU that you go into Philly and check out the Museum of Art. On Sundays it donations only to enter so you can pay $1-$100 whatever you feel led to donate to go in.

I also had a chance to roam around Philly and take some pictures of the different monuments and people. I met a lot of new people and had a chance to talk with different people, homeless, artsy people, some Church pastors from a local all black Gospel Baptist Church, regular people, and people visiting from India. It was a lot of fun, I loved it.

This is of the Washington Monument. I love this picture, its crazy. I used a filter when loading it on my computer due to the over cast. It came out really well, I like this photo, its my background on my computer actually.

What a week!

Back from Spring break!

Last week was amazing, my town almost got evacuated due to the Delaware threatening to over flow. Seeing that I live a block from the Delaware river it was an intense time. But other than that break was really great, I got time to work on the Chevy and hang out with close friends. I got all my homework done for the upcoming week. I was able to bug my parents as well a few times through out the week.

Being that I am a single guy who lives on his own right now I sometimes forget to buy food, or buy books or car parts instead of food. I have gotten used to one meal a day due to not having food or just not having time to eat. But God bless my friends who look out for me and are constantly on my back making sure I am eating right. I enjoy to eat and I eat healthy when I eat I just don't have it as a priority since I can get enough nutrition one meal a day that I can from three.

Over break I got to eat with two of my good friends who also go to PBU and we had a lot of time to fellowship together over break also. It was great to get time off from school but still having those friends from school close by to hang out. I missed PBU while I was gone and I am glad to be back.

As far as what we did to the Chevy we chop the top 6" and shaved the rear gas tank door.

Note to self...

Alright, note to self: Riding Motorcycle in 37º weather on the turn pike is not a good idea.

It was COLD and I mean COLD going down the turn pike today. It was only a 47 mile overall trip but it was a cold trip. But I loved every second of it. I stopped at Brian and Caroline apartment and we all went to bug our friend Tini at work and also get some lunch. It was great to catch up with them then Chad and I decided to head home to get the Chevy but by the time we got there it was dark and the truck was being used by my brother. Oh well, I guess I will make a trip after Church tomorrow.

God is so good, He just constantly answers prayers.
