Hey, I’m Tyler, a Pastoral Major from Glen Mills, PA. I graduate in May and leave for the Army June 25, 2009. I have recently become addicted to rock climbing, and I have always been addicted to rock crawling in my Jeep.

What a great week!

So it has been a great week to say the least. I have enjoyed work at 1 800 Got Junk, and I got to hang out with my buddy Jared before he went home to state college and then up to New York to work as a youth pastor. I am training for the cross country team and recently saw a huge improvement by running 5 miles in 33.24! I am pretty stoked about that to say the least.

Today is a busy BUSY day. I have a few friends coming over to help with some yard work in exchange for BBQ food. My 1929 Ford Tudor is up for sale so the emotional roller coaster that brings has been painful haha, but thats what you get when you spend almost every weekend with something fixing it and restoring it. My Mom is coming up to visit (awesome) and its a beautiful day outside!

I honestly cannot wait for the semester to start up again! Summer has just begun though and there are still so many adventures to go on. I will have pictures next time about everything going on and the adventures. I hope your all staying safe and enjoying life!

The hardest part about summer is staying constant in the Word of God daily when your not surrounded by passionate Christians every day. I just want to take this minute to encourage all of you to stay strong and focused. Do not just read a chapter of the summer but knock a book out in a day and truly reflect on it. Open yourself up, go for a run, a walk, a bike ride, go hiking in the woods and just reflect on God's desire for you and His creation. Oh man, God is good.

Wow! May is flying by!

Well, it happened, my Flyers were knocked out of the Stanley cup play offs by the Penguins... Its horrible, I can't even bring myself to look at the penguins at the Philly zoo anymore. What a shame. It has been great though, I work a lot at 1 800 Got Junk so I keep busy with that and I get to see some of my friends who are still local.

We spent a night playing super mario cart on Wii which is HIGHLY addicting so I don't recommend you start doing that. I am currently looking for a new local ministry to do for the upcoming school year, now its just a matter of finding one. I know that God will lead me to where He truly has a job for me.

I need to get back to my paper that I am writing now so I will catch you all later. I hope your summer is going as awesome as mine!

Prophetic Books 2 Summer class... done!

Well, its over, 1 week of 830 am to 1630 (4:30pm) of Prophetic Books with Dr. Emmons. It was actually an amazing class, I really enjoyed it. I feel that I learned a lot about the books of Daniel, 1 & 2 Thessalonians and Revelation. I was truly impacted spiritually going through Revelation, I absolutely loved it. I didn't exactly agree 100% but he gave abundant amount of evidence to support his view.

Well, now I am editing a video for a buddy's Church so I need to get to it. I will catch you guys later.

God Bless,

Tyler

Summer is up and running... I think

It might be up and running, I am unsure I haven't experienced it yet haha. Oh the summer life of a college student, at least this one. I work full time now for 1-800 Got Junk, we go to people's houses and remove junk from their houses and dispose of it for them and then clean up where the junk was. It is a pretty good service and pays well.

We are a type of high breed between garbage men (waste disposal service contractors to be politically correct) and movers but cleaner and better kept. I enjoy it and I have met some very interesting people while working there. It is nice to work full time, and it beats my jobs last summer.

At the same time I am doing yard work for people, doing tune ups on people's cars and doing photography at hot rod shows... so I am a tad bit busy but its a way to make it so I don't work as much during the semester and I can focus on my school work.

Tomorrow starts my one summer course, Prophetic Books II with Prof. Emmons. I am actually looking forwards to it and I hope I have the energy for it. It is 5 straight days of 830 am - 430 PM... YIKES! Thats a lot of knowledge! I will keep you updated on how its going along.

Alright, its Mother's day so I am packing up to head home for the day. Do NOT forget to tell your Mother you love her today no matter if your relationship is good or bad. Whenever things got rough between my Mom and I, I just had to remind myself that she didn't need to have me and could have gotten an abortion but didn't because she loves me. And if things get really tough, just knowing that your Mom loves you enough to keep you and carry you for 9 months... thats an incredible love that deserves at the very least all the riches of the world, but sometimes they enjoy you telling them you love them and giving them a hug instead.

Later guys and gals.

SUMMER!

Yes... its summer. And I just got back from a run and I am sweaty and tired but I wanted to talk to.. you, thats right, you. Right there, facing the computer monitor just dreaming about the day you can come to PBU.

Let me tell you how PBU students come together. My friend Tini was moving out of her dorm in Pendel and needed to store her couch somewhere for the summer. Being the good friend that I am in need of a couch I opened up my common room to the storage of her couch. The funny thing was how the couch arrived at my house. It was tied to the top of a Suburban, and for kicks and giggles Tini was tied up there by the time I had run up, got my camera, and ran back down. Here is a shot with Jesse posing.

Anyways, then this Friday I went home to visit my parents and celebrated a belated birthday with them. I went to two hot rod shows this weekend and traveled over 200 miles on my motorcycle... my back side hurts from riding it for so long.

Then Sunday Brian, Caroline and I went to visit Tini at her work and ate dinner there. Oh... we drove the 1929 there, because it was a nice day that is why.

Anyways, I am writing a sermon right now on Matthew 14 for a 4x4 outreach this summer that was actually started my Freshman year with the help of a few of my professors. It has grown to be a nation wide ministry and God truly is doing great things. It is amazing what happens with the opportunities that PBU provides. Alright, I am outty so I can take a shower. Hope your all having a great summer!
