Finals Week

It is an absolutely beautiful day outside. Most people on campus have dragged a blanket to the grass out there and are soaking up the sun while they study. Some have their laptops out there, but I have a strange paranoia about letting the battery get lower than 99% so I'm blogging from my room (with plans to head out in a moment...).
PC has a really great campus for sitting outside. There's walls and benches everywhere, and there's lots of grass you can use, too.

Still, it is finals week and some students have already finished exams. My neighbor just moved out this morning and things are starting to feel very surreal.
What has also struck me about this is that, I knew all the parents of my friends at home.
When I meet my PC friends' parents, though, it seems strange. I know they have families (who they speak of often), but I can't help but think of them as singular people. To suddenly have other faces to associate with that friend is...odd?
I'm not sure how to describe it.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad thing, and all of the family members I've met so far have been very nice, but it's just a strange phenomenon of college life.
I hate to sum it up this way but you'll see what I mean :)
