PC is the place to be!

Hey Everyone! Finally my blog is up and running! Sorry for the delay but you know how technical difficulties are!

So much has happened since I last wrote my intro blog, but I will try my best to capture a little bit of everything without writing a book! The first day I got here, we took a class trip to Newport (almost a month ago), we got a chance to walk around the city, do some shopping, site seeing and make some new friends! Then reality hit and classes started Tuesday! This semester I am taking: Intro to Literature, Business Math Analysis, Intro to Women's Studies and of course one of PC's claims to fame... Western Civ! So far my classes are great, I especially enjoy my literature class and Civ, a lot of reading and writing, but that is what I love!

Now for the good stuff- we had a hypnotist come the 1st weekend and my friends and I got some laughs at our classmates' expenses, and my floor (2nd floor McVinney,ya!) took a trip to Fire and Ice, which was delicious! It is only $10 on Mondays with your college ID! Also we had the involement fair two weeks ago where all the clubs set up displays on the lawn in front of Slavin so everyone could have the chance to sign up for new activities! As of right now, I am in the PC Dance Club, in the tap number, we practice once a week with a show in November, so much fun, I've had two class and I love the dance already! Also I applied to write for our student newspaper, "The Cowl," and we shall see how that goes.

Last weekend we had a Transformations Retreat through the SAIL Office where 90 freshmen had the chance to bond with fellow freshman while doing leadership activities! We even did a 40 ft. ropes course and got the chance to scale a 14 ft wall- something I would have never done before, but for some reason I just went for it and I had the time of my life! Then last Wednesday through B.O.P (Board of Student Programers) some of my friends and I went to the Red Sox game and they beat the Cleveland Indians 5-4, it was awesome, (even though we waited in line to get the tickets at 5:30 am), but it was well worth it!

There is so much going on around here I love it, but homework must get done amidst all the fun!
Below are some pictures from the events I mentioned in this post! I'll post again tomorrow!

I'm afraid of heights but I did this..
