Columbus Weekend Has Come and Gone
So many of us here at PC were really looking forward to Columbus Weekend seeing as it would be the first period of extended time that we got to go home. Well I'm not sure about how others feel, but for me it totally flew by!
Friday I said goodbye to all of my friends and actually stayed overnight here because my boyfriend wanted to come and check out my school for the first time. We headed to Slavin to grab a bite to eat and it was my first time having a meal there with my Friar Bucks, it was pretty sweet. We then took a quick walk around campus to give him a sense of direction, peeked into the chapel (really relaxing at night), and said a quick prayer. We then made our way down to McPhails to watch the REDSOX kick Tampa's butt, however we are tied 1-1 in the series so I guess I should watch my words. Anyways, we enjoyed free popcorn, an awesome milkshake and a comfy seat on one of the leather couches in front of the big pull down screen- IT WAS SO NICE!
Then the next day a couple of my friends from high school paid me a visit and we caught some of the field hockey and soccer games, along with yet another tour of campus. It was really nice to see familiar faces! Later on they took me home and I got to spend time with my family, we went out to eat, I saw my sister Julia and we all caught up on things.
Overall it was a great weekend, I got to relax, see family, see friends, ( I got uggs and a northface jacket = yay) and now I'm back at Providence talking to you all! Back to the swing of things, homework and such, but only a four day week this week! I'll post again soon!
