COME TO PC!
I know this is the peak of college decision making so I just wanted to take the time to let all the potential PC prospects out there know some of the reasons I chose PC:
* Perfect Population Size--with just about 4000 undergrads I know that I will see my friends and familiar faces everyday, however I also meet new people on a daily basis too. It is a great size student population that you are not just a number, yet all your business is not known either.
* Division I Atmosphere-- I was a bigtime athlete in high school who played three sports and considered playing in college. However, when I realized that PC was right for me, the Division I Athletics was a huge plus because the competition is intense and the Big East Conference is really well known.
* Citylife -- As I mentioned in my previous blog, I came very close to going to school in the middle of nowhere and after experiencing school in the city, I could not imagine being anywhere else. Also, Providence is a great size city too, there is always something to do, yet it is not too overwhelming. As a PC student we also get free transportation on the local bus called the RIPTA so you can literally go into Providence anytime!
* Liberal Arts Backgound -- Although I am sure there are nightmares floating around out there about the Western Civ program, we truly are lucky to have it here at Providence. It is the core of our college and you get such a great background of information that will really last with you well past graduation. PC is well known for Civ and that makes a huge impact when it comes to job applications in the future.
* Feels Like Home -- When I stepped on to the PC campus, I instantly got the feeling that I knew this is where I belonged. Although the other reasons I listed above are 100% valid, nothing compares to that feeling you get when you know where you are meant to be. PC gave me that feeling and if you have got it too, then I cannot wait to see you on campus next year!
These were just a few reasons among many, if you have any other questions during this crazy time of big decision making just drop me a comment!
