PCTV

Last night PCTV, Providence College’s first student-run television station, had its last taping of PC After Dark with host Tom. PC After Dark is a late night talk show that airs on the Providence College television station on a regular basis. Each episode features the host interviewing various PC students and often includes some form of musical entertainment at the conclusion of each show. PC After Dark is usually filmed once every two weeks in McPhail’s, the on-campus entertainment center. The taping allows students to get a sneak peak at the episode before it airs as well as provide them with the opportunity to hang out with friends and get informed on what’s happening around campus. My friends and I have been to the taping of every episode and were sad to see it end.
Within the organization, there are several different departments including: entertainment, sports, news, and marketing. The marketing department, which I am involved in, seeks to get organizations both on and off campus to advertise on PCTV. This is a great opportunity for organizations to promote themselves to PC students. Everyone who has been involved in PCTV does a great job and I am sure the future members will continue to do so. If it sounds like an organization that you might be interested in getting involved in, I highly recommend joining!
