Some Info About Me

Hi, I'm Jackie, one of the two new student bloggers! I am the new Communications Intern in the Office of Admissions and I will be working with the Publications Team. One of my tasks as the Communications Intern is to compile information on several of the academic departments to give to prospective students upon request. I will also be writing blogs a few times a week to provide a glimpse of PC from my perspective, along with responding to some of your posted questions.

To give you a few details about me...I am originally from Carlisle, which is an extremely small town in Massachusetts. Not many people have heard of it, but it is right next to Concord, which is where I attended Concord Carlisle High School. I am currently a senior at Providence College, so yes I will be graduating in only a few months from now (yikes!). I am a marketing major and I would love to be able to incorporate marketing with writing in my future. Ideally, I would like to work at a television station or a magazine company. Right now I am looking to find a job in the Boston area. I am taking several marketing classes (Sales Management, Marketing Strategy, and Broadcast Advertising) as well as American Musical Theatre. I am also doing this internship for credit so this is technically one of my classes as well. I work for the Secretary of the Chemistry and Engineering/Physics Department, which I have been doing since my freshman year at PC. I live off-campus, and when I say off-campus, it is barely off...PC is right across the street so it takes no longer than five minutes to get on-campus. I have played on several of the intramural teams, which are so much fun, despite the fact that the teams I have been on never seem to do that well. I am also extremely involved in PCTV, which is PC's first student-run television station, which was just created this year. To find out more, just ask! I look forward to your questions!
