A Beautiful Day
I am home in Carlisle, MA for Easter break and today I drove back down to Providence to pick up my sister, Kimi, who goes to Brown. Kimi is a junior, so we have been in the same city for almost three years. It has been so nice having her in Providence with me. Our weeks are typically busy so we usually meet up at the Providence Place mall every Sunday to catch up and browse through the stores. The mall is a nice central location for the both of us and very easy to get to. In the past it was as simple as taking the RIPTA, which is a bus that travels all over Rhode Island and is free for all PC students provided you show your PC ID. Now I am able to drive to the mall, which is nice too. Kimi usually walks down. If we don’t feel like going to the mall we usually go to Thayer Street, which is over on the East Side by Brown. Thayer Street has a great mix of unique shops and places to eat. Today we visited one of my favorite shops, Berk’s. For all of you shoe lovers out there this store is great. They have so many reasonably priced shoes – I actually bought a cute pair of brown flats today! Well, I’m off to dinner! Happy Easter!
