Parents' Weekend
This weekend was Parents' Weekend here at Providence College. There are a variety of activities offered to parents when they come to visit their kids. There are lectures, tickets to plays, and more. I can't really remember mainly because I didn't participate in any of the offered activities. Because we live so close, I see my parents often, so this weekend isn't much of a big deal. My parents came Saturday afternoon. They brought me my winter coat, gloves, and things like that as well as homemade cookies and some cleaning supplies. We chatted in my room while we waited for my sister to get ready. The weather was horrendous (rain, 40 mph winds, cold) but the five of us (my parents, my sister and her boyfriend, and me) made it to the Macaroni Grill in Warwick, about 20 minutes away. After that, we went up to my sister's apartment for a little and then I came back to my room to watch a movie with Jenessa (About a Boy -- it's her favorite) and then we visited Christina in her room when she came back. That was about it for my Parents' Weekend!
And today is another lovely Sunday. My Sundays are very predictable: brunch, homework, dance club, dinner, more homework. But today there was a little mix-up in the schedule. I've gotten myself into a nostalgic mood listening to *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys, so today my roommate Whitney and I rocked out to some old school music. It was a nice break from Civ and Sociology reading, let me tell you!
And now I must get ready for Dance Club!
