Registration, Exams, and a Little Bit of Stress
So it has been another fantastical start to the week. A busy week, that is (you may notice that I'm posting at 11:00 tonight). Monday, got back into the grind of things with lit and civ. Not so bad. Did well on my paper again for civ! Always exciting. I have my LAST civ paper due Friday and I'm already half-way done. I have a sociology paper due tomorrow, too. One more for that class. Tomorrow I also have my last calculus exam before the final on sequences and series. Hopefully all that goes well.
Tonight I actually went to a reading by fiction novelist Ethan Canin. Just for fun, too! The book sounded really interesting from the excerpts he read. He was a really funny guy and interesting to listen to. I think I'm going to be attending more of these readings in the future!
Tomorrow is also a big day because it is the first day that freshmen get to register for classes! Let me tell you, I've already had like 7 different schedules all planned out and everything. Let's just say I'm most likely taking only 1 class that I actually planned to take from the beginning, besides civ of course. I have like 8 backups because it's so unlikely that I'll get into anything I want. It's unfortunate that English majors don't get to preregister for English courses like a lot of other majors get to do. Quite frankly, I don't know if I'm going to get into an English class this semester! I'm kind of peeved about how it's working out right now, but I'm sure it will be fine in the end. I just can't wait until I can register first...it's going to be so much easier to get the classes I want (I hope, anyway)!
I'll let you all know how my scheduling experience works out. Right now, I'm way past my bedtime...I have to get up at 6:50 tomorrow morning because registration starts at 7! Good night!
