New Classes, New Experiences
So registration went better than planned! I got all the I (eventually) wanted and I didn't sleep through my alarm or anything. So that's good. My schedule for next semester goes like this: MWF civ class 10:30-11:20/T civ seminar 2:30-4:20, TR Post Colonial Theory/Lit 11:30-12:45, MWR New Testament Lit/Theology 9:30-10:20, and TRF Genes and Gender 8:30-9:20. Not bad, right? I like getting done early in the day. I'd rather even wake up for those 8:30s! Those are the worst! But I like having the whole day ahead of me.
My last civ paper was due on Friday! It was such a relief to hand it in. Just the final left for that class. My lit creative project is due tomorrow and then I have one paper left due the 12th. I have a sociology paper due Thursday and then the final. I'm all done with calculus exams except for the final (which is the very last day in the very last time slot! Unfortunate.). I can't believe that the semester is almost done! Time has flown by so fast, I can't even believe it. I feel like I just got here and it's already half-way through the year! At this rate, I'm going to be graduating in the blink of an eye!
And so here I am, another lazy Sunday. I went to the Tutoring Center Holiday Potluck today with my sister. I felt really awkward because I didn't know anyone and I haven't started tutoring yet. (I mentioned I got a job as a writing tutor, correct? I start in January). But Kim introduced me to a bunch of people and they were all so nice, so now I'm really excited to get started!
Now I think I'm going to get ahead on some civ reading, perhaps start my 5-7 page paper for lit (it involves outside sources and 2 of the things we read this year). We handed in our abstracts but haven't gotten them back yet, so I'm kind of wary about starting it without knowing if I'm going in the right direction. But we shall see. Either way, I'm off! Happy December, everyone!
