Visits from Home

This has been a great week for visits! Three of my friends, Melissa, Dana, and Lauren came for the day on Monday and it was so great to see them. I introduced them to some Ray girls, took them to lunch, and then introduced them to some guy friends. I won't be able to see them for a while because I won't be home for Spring Break, so it was nice to catch up a bit before I left. Today my friend Kerry came to classes with me to check out the school. We went to theology and civ and then lunch. Before she left, I gave her a quick tour of the campus. It's fun to give tours of the school and have them meet all my friends. It's a great way for them to see a personal side of the school before they make the big decisions.

Now for the rest of the day and week I must study and read. It never ends. I'll be back after break!

Monsoons and Mondays

Another day late on the blog. It's just been so busy around here! I did homework all Friday afternoon and here it is on Monday and I'm still not done!

Saturday was a fun day as I went to the PC basketball game vs. Louisville at the Dunkin Donuts center. It's been a while since I've been off campus in the day time. It was a beautiful day, and we say Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi at the game! That was really cool. He had been signing autographs in the mall. Sunday was a busy day, too. My roommates and I decided to rearrange the room for the new semester just in time for spring. It's so much more open than it was before because we bunked the beds. It took away a lot of time from writing my paper, but it was so worth it.

And here we are today. I'm still writing my lit paper and my friends from home are coming for the afternoon. I can't wait! The weather is really gross -- the wind is terrible and it's been pouring on and off. I woke up to the sound and could've sworn there was a monsoon outside!

But I must finish this paper before my friends get here! Less than a week 'til spring break!

Exams Galore

This week and next week are going to be intense. Every so often there will be a week that just is awful. I'm heading into that right now.

Right now I'm putting off studying for my civ exam tomorrow. But after that, I have a lit paper due Tuesday, a theology test on Thursday and a Genes and Gender test on Friday. They're really making look forward to spring break!

Speaking of, I'm getting so excited for London and Paris! I can't believe its only 8 days away...I remember thinking it would never come! I'm not a huge fan of planes, so I'm getting kind of nervous, too. I know it will be quite the experience, though!

I'm off to study now!

All This Moving Has Made Me Sick!

After a very eventful week, I have wound up with a fever! It's unfortunate, but I'll live.

My friend Chris's band Triple Point was great on Thursday! Our friend Dan got up on stage and joined them. Beth, Emma, and I danced. It was just a good time overall and a nice change in pace.

The hockey games have been fun recently, too. We lost on Friday to Vermont, and I'm not sure how we did against them on Saturday, but we've been doing pretty well.

I wish I could remember more things to talk about, but this fever is killing me. I must finish my reading and head to bed!

Busy, Busy, Busy

I've been a day late on a lot of my blogs this semester! I just get so caught up in everything I have to do. Between running errands, classes, homework, and tutoring, I barely have time to remember where I live!

What's really great about college is, amidst all the business, is finding time to do fun (and free) things. On Tuesday night, the BOP Coffeehouse had a magician, Justin Kredible, come to McPhail's! He was so funny and did some really cool things. And it was a free show! I mean, it's worth it just because I don't have to pay anything. Tonight, I'm heading back to McPhail's to see my friend Chris's band, Triple Point, perform! It's at 9:30 and goes until midnight. I'm really excited to see him play live!

Now I'm off to the library to get some reading done before my office hour in the tutoring center...

Quite a Disappointment

I can't believe the Patriots lost to the Giants last night! Such a disappointment, if I do say so myself. And I'm not even huge into football. What makes it more unfortunate is that there are all these Giants fans running around rubbing it in our faces. Oh college, how you subject me to different sports fans.

In other news, I think I've finally developed a routine. It takes a few weeks, but adjusting becomes easier and you can get back into the swing of things. Classes in the morning, potentially tutoring in the afternoon, homework/dinner in the evening and the gym at night. Mix in random meetings (like one for London/Paris tonight at 4:30 and one for tutoring at 6:30 on Wednesday -- excited for both!) and I've got myself a pretty standard routine.

It was so weird being around during the 2012 early-accepted students day. I myself did regular decision, so I didn't attend last year, but it's still so weird to realize I'm not that kid anymore. Now it's ME attending college!

Anyway, I'm off to my meeting soon!
