Grammar Camp and Spring Time
Today I did a presentation for Grammar Camp, which is basically a weekly session given by the Office of Academic Services to help any students that want to attend. Members of the tutoring center give the presentations, and this week Breanne and I did a presentation on parallel structure. I was really nervous about it, but it was a pretty small gathering and it was fun once I got there.
Tomorrow I'm giving a presentation in my lit class and I'm really nervous for that, too. I'm mostly really nervous before a do any public speaking, but I'm in a class of mostly upperclassmen and I guess I just feel really intimidated. Hopefully all goes well because I feel like I'm pretty well prepared.
But more importantly, let's talk about this weather! It's finally starting to be gorgeous out again! I seriously feel like I'm in a movie, walking through campus with kids on the quad and music playing out of someone's dorm window. It's like a soundtrack is playing and I'm walking through the quintessential college campus that everyone imagines. It's really been great breaking out the flip flops and capris after such a long, cold, snowy winter.
Alright, my last civ paper is due Friday and I'm trying to get it out of the way now. Good luck to those making final decisions for college -- only 2 more weeks!
