The End of the End

I just took my last final. Does that make me a sophomore in college now? Where did the time go? Wasn't I just applying to schools? Going to orientation? Moving in and meeting people? Time has never flown so quickly. Every up and every down I've enjoyed. Seniors, congratulations on your upcoming graduation and your plans for after high school. Whether your plans be college, the military, or the work force, enjoy this summer. It's going to fly by and then by the time you know it, it's going to be a whole new year.

For those coming to PC next year, maybe I'll see you around! I know how intimidating it is to be a new kid in a large place, so feel free to say hello. But most of all, I hope you're all getting excited! This has seriously been the best year of my life and I wouldn't trade any of it for the world (and to think I almost didn't come here!).

In terms of my summer, I plan on the usual -- seeing friends, working, etc. But this summer is going to be far different from all the rest -- I plan on seeing a bunch of people from here that live close by because I don't know how to live my life without them now! I've definitely developed a new family here and I love it. We've come a long way since September. Perhaps I'll blog a few times over the summer, so feel free to check back any time. My email is always working, so don't hesitate to drop me a comment here with any questions and of you may have about orientation or the like.

That's all for now. Have a fabulous summer and perhaps I'll see you back here next year ;)

Finals...Finally!

And so it has begun! Today was the civ final for all freshmen and sophomores. The buzz around campus today has been madness. I sat in Ray from 9:30 to about 1 just going over notes and outlines before my 1:30 exam. Everywhere people were talking Milton, Adam and Eve, Hobbes, Locke, Luther, Calvin...and that's only the freshmen! Numerous sophomores were sporting their DONE WITH CIV t-shirts, the ultimate testament to 2 years well done. This year, the backs of the shirts say Paradise Lost (with the Lost crossed out) JOY and under it says Reign of Terror (with Terror crossed out) JOY and under that it says what a HUME-ungous weight off my BACH. Very humorous indeed. I remember my sister's DONE WITH CIV shirt said "I KANT take it any MOORE!" Who knows what they'll come up with next year!

I also passed in my final lit paper today and it was such a great feeling. All I have left to do is take my theology final on Thursday at 9am! I can't believe its already nearly summer. Am I really almost a sophomore?

And I Hate When Things are Over

So. This is it. Yesterday was the LAST day of classes. I can't believe freshman year is over! It flew by way too fast. Congratulations to those that have made their final decisions to come here, as well as to those going elsewhere. Enjoy your summers while they last -- because the school year is going to fly by.

In other news, Wednesday was the tutor appreciation in the Slavin president's dining hall. It was so much fun, but it was also so sad to realize it was probably the last time I was going to see most of the seniors. I also got to see my sister for the first time in a few weeks -- she's always so busy with student teaching, plus a class, plus tutoring.

And now it's the reading period before finals. I have a paper to finish and 2 finals to go. I'm not too worried about any of it though. I'm just sad to be seeing all my friends go home! I might not see most of them for 3 long months!
