so...

The end of the semester i right around the corner. There are only two weeks of classes left before finals, and i have to say that i'm pretty swamped with work. Since i'm a media arts student i rarely have to study for tests, but i have to continually turn in quality projects, which is just as hard. I have to finish shooting and editing my final project for my BFA seminar and then turn in an animation for my motion graphics class, which is very time consuming. I also have to manage to find a little time for fun in my last few weeks as a college student, which should be a task in itself, but the gateway clipper dance is coming up and i plan to attend that, if i'm not too busy

so

i've had maybe the busiest week of my college career, being a media arts student i don't have many tests to study for, but i do have projects. As the odds would have it, i had four major projects all due in the same week. motion graphics, digital imaging, digital photography and my B.F.A. seminar were all due. After many late nights in the lab I finished my motion graphics, BFA seminar and digital imaging. The next day i took some pictures and finished digital photography, but I realize now that I can't afford to wait until the last minute anymore because when I do I get backed up.

exciting times

everywhere i look i see the same thing, black and gold. these colors can be seen hanging from dorms or on cars, even in the office i work in. with the steelers one win away from the super bowl every man, woman, and super intelligent baby can be seen draped in the same colors. it's safe to say that steeler mania is sweeping all across the city. this is a great time to be on campus or downtown because everyone is super excited about their team. it's fun to interact with all the random people supporting the team. hopefully the steelers can get a win in baltimore and make it to the big show.

greatest break ever

I spent a few days in Florida over the break to visit some of my relatives. while I was over there Rod Stewart put on a free show at the bayfront auditorium. Being a huge Rod Stewart fan my uncle and I decided to go. I was not disappointed. The auditorium was packed, it was wall to wall fans, many of them chanting Rod's name at times. Rod was great with the crowd. He talked about some of his favorite songs and why he loved them so much. It was a really good time. He ended the show with Maggie May, but came out to do an encore and sang a personal favorite of mine, young turks. My uncle and I left the auditorium very satisfied. It may have been the greatest break ever!

so...

This weekend i decided i would attend the think pink dance that was held in the john jay gym. The dance was set up to support breast cancer. Admission was $3 or free with three yogurt lids. I brought some lids and got in for nothing. I ran into a lot of people i knew and had a great time. On saturday my roomate and I went down to region square for the three rivers film festival. I went to see a french film called JCVD, which was excellent. I highly recommend it. Today i portrayed a ghost in a friends film project. We just wrapped up about an hour ago. It's been a busy weekend and with the end of the semester around the corner it doesn't look like it's going to slow down anytime soon. i'll catch you folks later

booked

i have no free time this weekend. i have to do some painting for one of my design classes on friday, that should take a few hours. Saturday morning i have to shoot and possibly edit footage for my advanced tv/video class. I might also have to do some more shooting on sunday too, so i'm not really going to have time to go to the halloween dance or the photo scavenger hunt, but who knows, maybe i'll take a break and check out one of the events.
