Edward Hopper

Hopperlg.jpg

I love this show in AIC. These paintings are so American. Edward Hopper (1882–1967) is one of the most enduring and popular American realists of the 20th century. His paintings have been celebrated as a part of the very grain and texture of the American experience. There are approximately 80 works of oil and watercolor, together with literature and history of the artist’s, will show Hopper’s place in the tradition of American realism and modernism.

Crappy weather

The weather has been very bad recently. It is wet every where, snow is hurting your face and wind is chasing you. I think this time is the worst one we supposely will have for this winter. Just in case, for the people who come to Chicago- Be aware of the worst weather that you could possibly imagine. You might even need a snow goggle to walk on the street. (My friend has done that and it was funny)

Chicago buckingham fountain area

buckingham fountain area is quite nice at night. It gets very quiet at night and you get to see bunnies and geese. There is a work of Richard Serra (you can see Buckingham fountain through his sculpture. Personally, I really appreciate his work. I think his works are awesome. people really should go and EXPERIENCE it rather than seeing it.
