So while I was in Los Angeles one of my beloved roommates moved out and was replaced by a friend of the roommate whom JUST moved out! All of this transition has turned out to be very curious and not all it's cracked up to be but I'm pullin through!

Throughout all this transition however my roommates and I have been transforming the space in this appartment and we've been doing pretty well.

In fact, since our landlord is going to let us do some of the update work so that we can have a break on our rent, we're GOING GREEN!!! We've already started with VOC free primer and then once we've primed we're going to go from there!!! EVEN BETTER, we bought the primer from Green Maker, and talked one of the owners into giving us a huge discount and it looks like that discount may stick in the event that everything continues to go well!!!

This excites me because I certainly believe that if we can start this relationship of lots of discounts then I will be a loyal customer even after I've passes on!!!

....our landlord's maybe even giong to agree to pull up all the tiles in our appartment and replace them with eco-friendly Marmolium (what Lenolium is without the petrolium based toxis!!!

All that being said, I cant wait until we can green some more!!!

This is where a good interior architect would be good.

So I have mixed feelings about this show but I still left the venue feeling like my band's going to take off and bump it's lil head on the moon on it's way to the rest of the universe!!!

The bad...we didn't get our full performance time, the sound guy wasn't on top of his game & and we got stiffed on pay...

THE GOOD!!!
Environment Illinos came to the show and we raised some money for them, but more than the money we allowed them to have access to lots of people to sign that petition against BP!!! And that's what's important!!!
We also performed very well I feel like every performance post-Los Angeles trip has been more and more packed with energy!! Not a single person left the room durring the performance and that certainly made me feel good about the gig! We also sold a little bit of our "Recycled Wear" with our new logo!!! (You know I'm an eco nut when I think the recycling symbol with an M in the middle is totally hot!).

All-in-all, I don't know if we'll rock the E-Room again however if we do, we'll just be more cautious about all the little things and stand up for our rights to rock!!!! :-) (<--don't worry, I am fully aware of my corny tendencies)

I am very pumped! My band mates and i are taking a new initiative to start supporting those who support the things that drive us (the environment and participating in a compassionate human existence)!

So Brian (the boy behind the drums) arranged for Environment Illinois to be at our upcoming Elbo Room show!!! They're bringing a banner (how hot is that! a big vynl love note to the world!!) and petitions to sign because right now their BIG CAUSE is to create awarness and an uproar about BP dumping toxic-hate into our beloved Lake!!!

And for the record EVEN PEARL JAM was anti-BP in this endeavor, they even played an impromptu song "Stop BP" during their headlining performance at Lallapalooza this year!!!

So long blog short....COME LOVE THE EARTH WITH US ON THE 15TH @ THE ELBO ROOM! You know you wanna! :)

So one of my many many many jobs happens to make my world go round every so often!! This summer it's taken me to Pitchfork Music Festival as well as Lallapalooza and I could have gone to a dozen other concerts on top of that! -> because I happen to be a workaholic and my bosses enjoy to treat me for my efforts! I WIN!

I thought last years Lalla was HOT LIKE WASSABI but man!! Who knew that I would walk away from a concert so pumped that I wanted it to start all over again from the begining!

Last year I was overjoyed because I'd been trying VERY HARD to see the Chilli Peppers for seven years...always something got in the way! Thier performance was good...but nothing like DAFT PUNK!!

OH MY SWEET BABY JESUS...10 pounds, 5 ounces!!!

Such a good concert! Totally in my top five concerts of all time!! And I've seen my fair share of amazing people perform in my short little life! Daft Punk PUSHED Prince...you heard me...PRINCE IS OUT OF MY TOP 5!! Of all the amazing shows I've been to Daft Punk will always be remembered now. It's up there with The Who & That1Guy!! It's up there baby and I'M LOVIN IT!!

I've been super hooked since the show too, so now I find myself walking down the street singing "Technologic...technologic...". And my roommate and I have officially decided that the song "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" MUST be the theme song for SAIC students...why...because if we, "work it harder, make it better!" when we make art (specially durring finals ;-) then MAYBE we'll all be satisfied with our work (doubtful...I think we'll still think it needs more work...at least I will)!
